The Volume Stage at AMS Pictures

Case Study

In collaboration with Jason Starne (Shotcaller), AMS Pictures constructed an LED virtual production wall in their 3,700 sq ft soundstage. Outfitted with MoSys camera tracking and fully operational with Unreal Engine 5.3, the 36’ x 14’ wall became the newest and most virtual production capable build in the DFW metroplex.

Requested and supported by Toyota Motor North America, Jacob worked closely with AMS Pictures and Jason Starne to develop a launch campaign for ‘The Volume Stage at AMS’ to demonstrate its capabilities in a vacuum, as well as make it clear and known to the public that AMS Pictures is capable of high-fidelity, cost-effective, and efficient virtual production workflows. As the Creative Director, Jacob modernized the AMS Pictures proposal process, deeply refined the quality and strategy of social media postings prior to the launch, and utilized his background in virtual production technology and motion design to present a successful and winning demonstration of car process to Toyota Motor North America and their partnering agencies. “Everywhere All At Once” is a slogan Jacob wrote based on his prior experience working on the extended reality stage at Intrepid Studios. Additionally, he guided the modernization and redesign of the AMS Pictures website, in preparation for the launch.
